If you subsequently withdraw from a course, or if any courses are cancelled by us for operational reasons, we reserve the right to amend the discount accordingly.

We offer a discount to students booking on 2 courses or more if the total fee is greater than £1200:

· Fees totalling between £1200 and £2200 qualify for 5% discount.

· Fees totalling more than £2200 qualify for 10% discount.

This offer excludes ''Guide to promotional make-up artistry", "Footwear summer school", "Bra fitting", all Signature masterclasses, all Study Abroad programmes and any other courses costing more than £900.

LATE APPLICATIONS

If there are places available on a course we will accept bookings right up until the course commences. However, please note that for applications made within 5 working days of the start of the course we cannot guarantee that your booking confirmation will reach you by post prior to the start of the course. Our policy is to inform late applicants if they have a place on the course by telephone or email. If however you make a late application for a course and do not receive a letter or email from us within 24 hours to confirm your place, it is your responsibility to contact the Short Course Office (+44 (0) 20 7514 7552) to check on the status of your booking.

Materials & Equipment

Fees include some basic materials for the majority of courses. The course description found either in the prospectus or on the website will advise you of further materials and basic equipment you will need, which in most cases will be the minimum range of items you would use to practice your new skills outside the studio/workshop.

Failure to bring the required materials will delay your progress on the courses.

Cancellations & Bank Holidays

CANCELLATIONS BY US

We reserve the right to amend or cancel courses, change course location or substitute lecturers and tutors. In the event of a complete course being cancelled, fees for that course will be refunded in full. If the College cancels a course you will be notified as quickly as possible. You will be given the opportunity to transfer to another course, otherwise the full cost of your fees will be refunded to you within three weeks under normal conditions.

We shall not be liable for any other consequential loss.

CANCELLATIONS BY YOU

Cancellations and transfers (both subject to a £30 administration charge) are permitted up to one month before the start of a course. Cancellations, withdrawals and requests for transfer for whatever reason whatsoever from a course must be received in writing.

Cancellations and transfers less than one month before the start of the course are not permitted under any circumstances unless a substitute student is found. If a substitute is found who replaces you on a course then we shall refund any money paid less a fee to cover administrative expenses that we consider fair and reasonable.

BANK HOLIDAYS

There are no Saturday or Monday classes on bank holiday weekends. Courses will continue over an extended period so that participants still have the advertised number of classes/days to attend. The end dates in the brochure take into account missing lessons.

Transferrals & Substitutions

TRANSFERRALS

Transferrals from one course to another may be made up to one month prior to the course start date. The maximum number of transferrals accepted is two. There is a £30 administration charge for each transfer.

SUBSTITUTIONS

Substitutions may be accepted up to two weeks prior to the course start date. The substitute student's name must notified in writing. There is a £30 administration charge for the name change. Substitutions cannot be accepted after the course has started.

Non Attendance

Non-attendance of classes due to illness, or for personal or professional reasons, does not provide the right to refunds, extra tuition or transferral to another class.

However, in such an event, we shall consider all the circumstances and take such action that we consider fair and reasonable.

If alternative options are provided there may be an additional administrative fee

Certification

On completion of your course and having attended the minimum number of hours required, London College of Fashion will provide you with a certificate of attendance. The name given on the booking form will be the one that appears on the certificate. With the exception of the Study Abroad programmes, it is not feasible to examine and grade your ability of work or depth of knowledge. Therefore the certificate of attendance is not a qualification.

If you do not receive your certificate at the end of the course, for reasons that we are responsible for, we will post certificates free of charge once the register has been returned to us confirming your attendance record. If you do not collect your certificate at the end of the course for reasons that we are not responsible for e.g. you miss the last class or leave early, we will post it to you (subject to you attending 70% of the course) but you must supply:

· Self addressed envelope

· First class stamp

Alternatively you may collect the certificate from the Short Course Office. Certificates will be held for up to one month after the course has ended. Replacement certificates can be produced up to one year after completion of your course but will incur a fee of £30.

Strikes & Security Alerts

In the event of a public transport strike or closure, or security alerts (which occasionally affect the capital and are beyond our control) that result in the closure of central London streets and/or buildings, a class that has commenced may have to be closed early. However we cannot provide an alternative session, or offer a refund.

Class Postponement

In the event of staff illness, we will attempt to find a substitute lecturer. If this is not possible, the class will be postponed and every effort will be made to contact you. The class will be rescheduled to suit the majority of course participants. Alternatively, the missed hours may be added to the remaining course classes.

Occasionally due to adverse weather conditions or unforeseen incidents which sometimes affect the capital, courses may have to be postponed at very short notice. We apologise for this inconvenience and urge you to ring us if you have any concern on +44 (0) 20 7514 7552.

Student Conduct

Course participants are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner and to recognise that other course participants also require support and assistance. If a participant becomes persistently disruptive we reserve the right to offer a verbal or written warning and, if this does not resolve the situation, the participant may be asked to leave the course.

Overseas Application

ENGLISH

All classes are taught in English. Applicants whose first language is not English should note that they are required to be proficient in written and spoken English and be able to participate in group discussions and presentations in English. As a guideline we would expect the student to have an I.E.L.T.S. score of 4.5 for practical courses and 6.0 for lecture courses. University of the Arts London also offers English courses for overseas students. For further information please contact 020 7514 7261.

OVERSEAS APPLICATIONS

It is essential that you advise us of your UK address, telephone and fax details for the two weeks period prior to your course commencing, in case we need to advise you of any changes. The College does not make refunds for accommodation or travel costs associated with courses, for any reason whatsoever.

STUDENT VISA

Students who need a visa to enter the UK must contact the British Embassy in their own country and make prior arrangements before booking a short course. If a student cannot attend a course because they have not obtained a visa to enter the UK they are not entitled to withdraw from a short course or be given a refund unless one month's notice is given. See 'Cancellations by you'.
